In 2020, Shirley earned her MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner program from Herzing University, which attests to her unwavering dedication to the field.

Shirley specializes in internal medicine and offers comprehensive care to behavioral health patients in inpatient and clinic settings. She caters to a broad patient demographic, from pediatrics to geriatrics, starting at age 7.

Shirley’s work on men’s health has motivated her to explore novel treatments for resistant depression and PTSD, leading to her REM certification to administer Spravato. Shirley is driven by the critical shortage of psychiatrists in the U.S., the impact of COVID-19, and economic challenges.

Before her nursing career, Shirley worked as a microbiologist at Novavax, where she developed treatments for menopause symptoms. Her rich experience enables her to manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including hormone replacement therapy, birth control, weight management, and various diseases such as PCOS, hypothyroidism, hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma, COPD, diabetes, GERD, seizures, and more.

Shirley is an ardent champion of holistic wellness, promoting balanced health practices within her community.
